Health Tip: Describing Hay Fever

(HealthDay News) -- During every season but winter, trees, weeds and grasses release tiny grains of pollen. If you breathe in those granules, it may trigger a type of allergy called hay fever.

The U.S. National Library of Medicine says typical symptoms of hay fever include:

  • Sneezing, often accompanied by a runny or clogged nose
  • Coughing and postnasal drip
  • Itchy eyes, nose and throat
  • Red and watery eyes
  • Dark circles under the eyes
